European Institutions
As a result of the development of the European Community the representation of the interests has gained in importance vis-à-vis the bodies of the European Union such as European Parliament, Commission, Directorate General. On the international level, in particular in Brussels, the interests are safeguarded by our membership of and collaboration with the following specialised organisations:
AEL - Association Européenne d'Articles de Literie (Bedding Items)
E.C.R.A. - European Carpet and Rug Association (Textile Floor Coverings)
EUFAC - European Upholstered Furniture Action Council (Burning Behaviour)
Due to its membership of the Central Confederation of the German Textile and Fashion Industry the Association of the German Interior Textile Industry is also member of EURATEX, the European Apparel and Textile Head Federation with its headquarters in Brussels. Some of the above-mentioned European industrial associations are also members of EURATEX.
